A great read。 Have some Kleenex close by。I’d give it lots more stars, if that was an option。

Lenni being 17 years old and Margot being 83 years old, their combined age is 100 years and they celebrate it through their artwork for each year of their lives lived。 The life experience of Margot helped Lenni live through her dreams and desires。 I laughed and I cried and I sobbed while reading this heartbreaking and beautiful story。 It published on June 1, so if you haven’t already, please go ahead and get a copy to experience the celebration of life! 。。。more
Jeanette (Ms。 Feisty),
It can be difficult to capture tenderness without becoming saccharine, but Marianne Cronin walks that delicate path admirably。
Jean Pyzik,
I almost didn’t finish this book。 I struggled to get into it but so many people loved it I kept on going。 I’m so glad I did。 I laughed , I cried。 The characters were so endearing and shared such honest emotions, I put this one at the top of my list of favorites。

Susan,
This is a super cute book about the supportive relationship between 17 yo Lenni and 83 yo Margot。 Together, they have lived 100 years。 As the story goes along, we follow the two of them as they both fight against their impending deaths。 This is interspersed with the stories from each of their combined 100 years。 Lenni felt like both a lot younger than her 17 years but also very much an old soul。 She provided a great balance to Margot's more colorful and varied life。 Overall this was a sweet read This is a super cute book about the supportive relationship between 17 yo Lenni and 83 yo Margot。 Together, they have lived 100 years。 As the story goes along, we follow the two of them as they both fight against their impending deaths。 This is interspersed with the stories from each of their combined 100 years。 Lenni felt like both a lot younger than her 17 years but also very much an old soul。 She provided a great balance to Margot's more colorful and varied life。 Overall this was a sweet read! 。。。more

4。5 Stars! I have not read a story in a very long time that formed such a perfect circle of storytelling。 The story of Lenni and Margot is just beautiful and funny, and sweet, and heartbreaking, and a true celebration of friendship and love。 Lenni is a seventeen-year-old terminal patient in the Glasgow Princess Royal Hospital and Margot is an elderly eighty-three-year-old at the same hospital。 They become fast friends, along with an eclectic group of lovely characters at the hospital (Father Art 4。5 Stars! Anna Berardi,
Definitely can see why this was picked up for movie production。 A heartwarming story that had hints of Pollyanna, Pippi Longstocking, An American Quilt- which were all formative to me (not sure what that says about my childhood lol)。 I loved this book。 Beautifully written stories about the complexity of the human experience; how our relationships can be layered, complicated and redemptive。 I can’t wait to see this on the big screen some day。 Who will play Father Arthur? Joanne,
Lovely book in which people facing death tell us much about how to live。
Rachel,
It’s beautiful and funny and I sobbed through a lot of it。
Janet Patterson,
This book is an exceptional description of true friendship and two lives well lived - one for over 80 years and one cut short at 17。 It is a roller coaster ride。 One minute I was laughing out loud; the next I was ugly crying。 The one thing I didn't do is put it down。 I finished this book in only a couple of days。 I dreaded it ending because I loved the book, and because I did not want to say goodbye to Lenni and Margot。 Fortunately (or unfortunately depending on your point of view), Marianne Cro This book is an exceptional description of true friendship and two lives well lived - one for over 80 years and one cut short at 17。 It is a roller coaster ride。 One minute I was laughing out loud; the next I was ugly crying。 The one thing I didn't do is put it down。 I finished this book in only a couple of days。 I dreaded it ending because I loved the book, and because I did not want to say goodbye to Lenni and Margot。 Fortunately (or unfortunately depending on your point of view), Marianne Cronin has created two characters who will never leave me。 。。。more
Talia Smith,
It’s amazing how important stories can become。 This one I’ll certainly keep on my shelf forever。 The character development of this story is exquisite, which sadly, makes the plot that much harder to take in。 A lot of laughs。 A lot of tears。 No book exploring death and dying is ever easy, but I find those are the ones that are full of heart and stick with you the most。 The One Hundred Years of Lenni and Margot is a reminder to live life unapologetically, and no matter how uncertain the future may It’s amazing how important stories can become。 This one I’ll certainly keep on my shelf forever。 The character development of this story is exquisite, which sadly, makes the plot that much harder to take in。 A lot of laughs。 A lot of tears。 No book exploring death and dying is ever easy, but I find those are the ones that are full of heart and stick with you the most。 The One Hundred Years of Lenni and Margot is a reminder to live life unapologetically, and no matter how uncertain the future may seem, to walk into it with open arms。 。。。more

This book。 It was a wonderful, beautiful story。 I can’t put into words how much I loved it。 I loved all of the characters。 I loved all of if。 I will be thinking about this book for a long time。
Shirley Johnson,
A brilliant book full of kindness, love and sadness。 Margot and Lenni meet in hospital and form a friendship。 Lenni is 17 and Margot 83 and together they paint their life stories and celebrate 100 years 。 I laughed outloud, I cried and I felt all warm and fuzzy for the message this book delivers。 Just wonderful。
Karol,
I laughed some and I cried some, what Wonderful debut!!!!!

MandM,
Delightful, heartwarming, and heartbreaking I loved every minute of this book。
Chelsea Sorensen,
Favorite book I have read in awhile。
Kim Beckwith,
Love, love, love。 I giggled and cried my way through this book and I think you will, too。 A cleverly-written book about an unlikely friendship in an unlikely place under sad circumstances。 But you will come to love and admire the characters as the stories of their lives unfold, just as they came to love one another。 Not to be missed。
Molly,
I loved this charming, sweet book but, fair warning, it made me cry hard。
Jackie Machardy,
A lovely, poignant, jewel box of a book。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 This type of book is not normally my cup of tea。 I knew I would cry and I did because if you are invested in a character and they die you will。 It was a sweet and cute story of a 17 year old girl and and 83 year old woman and together they live for 100 years。 It's their stories of love and loss as they don't have much time on this earth。 This type of book is not normally my cup of tea。 I knew I would cry and I did because if you are invested in a character and they die you will。 It was a sweet and cute story of a 17 year old girl and and 83 year old woman and together they live for 100 years。 It's their stories of love and loss as they don't have much time on this earth。 。。。more
Jenny Tassone,
This is a beautiful story that explores what a “family” is truly made of。 I wish someone I know would read it as quickly as I did so we can discuss the beauty of these characters。 This is one of those books that I will need a few days to sit with before I can read another。
